My wife Laura and I have planned a trip across the United States and around the globe to learn more about ourselves and the pursuits we have committed our working lives to.  We will be spending time with community leaders, educators, organizers, farmers, and others who are committed to improving the lot of regular every day people.  Both of us plan to bring back lessons from our trip to our work in Chicago.  This blog will primarily be focused on lessons learned by organizers and movement leaders who are actively working to build a more just and equitable society in their communities and beyond.  I hope to learn lessons and reflect upon my 10+ years being part of organizing efforts here in Chicago with ONE (onechicago.org) and SEIU.
